Our Services
Hidden Figures celebrates the untold stories of People of the Global Majority who have played a significant role in shaping Plymouth's history. As well as providing talks for schools, workplaces and the community we host events to celebrate hidden figures from the past and present.
If you have any questions about events you can contact us here.
Educational Talks
We offer schools and youth groups the opportunity to learn about the hidden figures of Plymouth. Our workshops and resources are designed to engage young people in the history of their city and inspire a love of learning. These workshops are interactive and exciting and will integrate core British values. We also extend the offer of presentations to workplaces.
History Walks
The footsteps of hidden figures can be traced all around Plymouth. Join us on one of our history walks where we share their fascinating stories. From the Stone House area where Plymouths first black councillor, Bill Miller, was born to Jabulani Food Court in Union Street, where you will hear the fascinating story of Jabo Butera. A Rwandan refugee and founder of the Jabulani Coffee brand.
